The USB Overdrive works fine in Big Sur 11.2
If the basics don't work, we need to establish where the fault lies. Try plugging the same device/cable into a different USB port on the same Mac (assuming it's got more than one), and into a USB. Check the Connection. Like we mentioned above, it is likely that the Mac is not the problem at all but.
Apple did an amazing job and the USB Overdrive is working great in Big Sur 11.2. If you installed a beta version of Big Sur 11.2, please make sure you update to the most recent one before installing the USB Overdrive.
USB - Doesn't work on my Mac. Might have a solution for this, tried 3x on iMac with HS10.13.3. Prior to this, was a small miracle to get this to work on any mac. The Apple USB SuperDrive and MacBook Air SuperDrive are perfect with any Mac made after 2008 that doesn't have a worked in optical drive. Internet Recovery and Recovery USB not working. I'm hoping someone has a suggestion to help me fix my Mac which seems to be bricked. Currently when I boot my Macbook Air 2014 it loads the prohibitory symbol and doesn't seem to go anywhere from here.

USB Overdrive 5.0 beta 2 is ready for macOS 11.1 – 11.2 Big Sur.
This is a preliminary beta version for Big Sur 11.1 and 11.2 only. Please read the notes carefully and uninstall any previous version of the USB Overdrive before installing this one.
Note that the USB Overdrive does not handle any Apple mouse, trackpad or keyboard. Apple devices have custom support in macOS and they would miss some functionality if taken over by the USB Overdrive.

- Rewritten as a System Extension to work in Big Sur
- Moved from System Preferences to the Applications folder
- New mouse acceleration curves (work in progress)

System requirements for version 5.0 beta 2:

Hi
I have been trying to reinstall macOS on my MacBook Pro 13 (2015) and for reasons I still don't know, the bootable USB I created was not showing up when I booted into the Startup Manager (by holding the option/alt key).
I tried creating the USB via both diskmarkx and Terminal. But neither was helping me. Then I tried several fixes and this one finally solved the problem. For any of you out there facing the same problem, this might help.
Steps :
1. Reset PRAM of your machine by holding option+command+P+R keys together soon after you press the Power button and hear the startup chime.
2. Hold the keys until the grey screen goes off completely (the machine should be restarting).
3. At 'this' point, insert the Bootable USB Disk you created and press and hold the option key.
4. Hold the option key until you see the Startup Manager.
Hopefully your USB should be listed as one of the bootable disks in the Startup Manager.
